In our hurried world, it is not that unusual to feel like we are on a nonstop treadmill or rollercoaster. This can be exhausting and the effects can leave us overwhelmed and living with heightened levels of stress and anxiety. Rather than sensing that we perpetually falling behind and can’t catch our breath, what if we can intentionally shift to a practice of being present and experiencing space and expansion? There are many rituals and ways to incorporate slowing down in our lives. They include walking in nature, listening to music, unplugging and turning off our personal devices, and mindful meditation. Check out our resources online or pick up a copy of The Art of Retreating to learn how to thoughtfully slow down the pace of your life. Visit our Field Guide page for more information.
