It is not just our bodies that need to be nourished but our entire beings. To be a fully alive expression of ourselves we must consciously, lovingly, and compassionately provide nourishment that enhances our bodies, our minds, and our spirits. What we steer clear of is equally important as what we feed ourselves. Reducing our intake of information and data that is not intended to fill us up and instead seeking out high quality sources of food, information, music, data that nourishes and sustains should be a daily intentional practice. Remember that what is fed to us does not always have our best interest and well-being in mind. In fact, quite the opposite can be true. Be discerning in what you fill yourself up with including food, conversation, entertainment, relationships, gossip, news, idle time and so on. The question to ask yourself is this: Does this fill me up or does this deplete me?
